Post #1000: A Mike Jutan Blog Retrospective

Hi friends and avid Mike Jutan Blog Readers...

As the Fatboy Slim song goes, "We've come a long, long way together..." :)

Welcome to jutanclan.blogspot.com Post number 1000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wow. I didn't think when I started this blog in April 2005 that I would end up being so addicted to it, keen to share my experiences at Pixar, in California, at Waterloo, and traveling in Europe with the world. But here we are, and 1000 posts later I am still going and going. Readership has increased from essentially my parents, Matt Lausch and Mrs. Lausch to an average of 1500-2000 hits per month from about 66 countries. This statistic still blows me away, and I am extremely surprised that people in India, China, Australia, etc are keen to know how my work is going, my thoughts on the Python programming in Maya, and what style food I cooked for dinner. :) It is surprising and quite humbling that this many people care about my life, and I am honoured that you pay attention to all these details by visiting. So to you, avid JutanClan blog reader, I thank you.

I wanted to make the 1000th post special, so I've decided to do a quick retrospective of some important "landmark" postings on my blog. Thank you for your consistent interest. I will keep writing if you all keep reading! And if you stop reading... I'll keep writing anyway. :)
