Beaded wire sculptures and baklava

Today was pretty chill. This morning we headed to an area where there are some beaded wire sculpture artists on the side of the road, and we got some gifts and cool stuff for ourselves. It was really amazing work, and insanely cheap given how much time it must take them to make it. It was funny - we asked them if we could take a picture of them afterwards and they said yes, and the one guy put on his sunglasses to look cool for the photo. :) Very funny. They were nice and asked us where we were from, and said "Thanks for supporting our work." Pretty awesome. They were actually making more of the artwork as we were deciding what to buy! Pretty amazing to buy stuff directly from the person who makes it.

Just chilled out in the afternoon, got some good food and some Baklava at another mall. (There sure are a lot of malls in Johannesburg!)

Having a great time, and Jimmy won tickets to a Rugby game this weekend so we're going to go to that and it's gonna be awesome.

Wall-E comes out here tomorrow night!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am taking everyone to see it, and I can't wait to see it again!!

Keychains and wire gecko

Haha, gecko!!

Baklava

This sign was in one of the stores at the mall. We've seen the power go out in the house here at least 3 or 4 times over the past week and a half, and in the malls and grocery stores the power has been out 2 or 3 times!! Insane. So it's pretty common for the power to just go out in the entire mall, and a lot of stores have ways of still doing business even if there is no power.

I guess this is a South African Apple Store!!

Wall-E on a program on SABC in South Africa!!

Cool interview with Andrew Stanton that we saw tonight on SABC in South Africa!
